I choose to see the good -
because it’s there, quietly outweighing the rest.
I grew up in York, a small beach town in southern Maine, where it’s easy to fall in love with the ocean. Since then, life has taken me across the country—and back again, a few times. I moved to Springfield, Missouri as a teenager, finished high school at Hebron Academy (in - Hebron, Maine), while there a film photography class sparked a lasting connection in me, and propelled me to attend college in Nova Scotia before following my heart to Hawaii. I’ve also called Southern California home, and easily could be among palm trees forever, but for the past 11 years, I’ve been back in New England— living in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire area.
Over the years, I’ve been shaped by so many people—friends, mentors, fleeting encounters, and those who have walked beside me for seasons or a lifetime. Every person who has been part of my story has left something with me and I value them all.. Those connections, those shared moments, have made me who I am.
I’m moved by beauty—natural light, an expression, the way animals connect without words, and the consistent goodness in people. I love to travel and to be near the sea. I have far too many plants, and I love to laugh—often and too loudly. I find so much joy in spending time with people I love, and I’m always thrilled to meet people and hear their stories. Connection is literally waiting at every interaction and is up to us to be something we all need. I truly believe it is one of life’s greatest gifts.
My incredible daughters have taught me so much about life, they are a constant reminder to try harder and be kinder. They have shaped the way I see the world —and constantly inspire me to continue capturing it. I am so grateful.
